linux.
Scritto interamente in php (e perciò pienamente
funzioni bene, potete mandare commenti, suggerimenti o
Evolutionary Timetabling e provarlo.
Buon lavoro!
This program is the outcome of the lack of a tool
for compiling a school timetable on linux
platforms.
Entirely written in
php (therefore fully compatible with
windows platforms), it compiles, modifies and queries a mysql
database without any need for the user to know the mysql syntax.
I have gradually added new features: with this version, as you compile
the timetable, you'll be informed about sharing of special classrooms.
I hope everything will work fine; comments, hints, and bug reports are
welcome at my email address.
Attention! This version includes lots of changes. Even if you already
know the program I strongly suggest to read the documentation.
The major new features are:
more than one subject can be assigned to the same teacher in the same class
you can lock the lessons which you don't want to be moved
the script for the automatic allocation of hours has been enterely rewritten
you can require that some subjects are not allocated in the same day
The compatibility, on linux boxes, with FET - Free
Evolutionary Timetabling, a program for
automatic allocation of hours created by Liviu Lalescu. is lost, due to the different paths followed by the two programs, I suggest you to visit fet's page and try it
Have a good job!
